The year was 2009 and I had been touring off and on with the homies in Magic Bullets. I was knee deep in pop music and having a blast. The EDD checks were rolling in and I was itching for a project that let me stretch out a little into unknown areas. Not sure exactly what I was listening to, I think that I was spinning a lot of Durutti Column and Marc and the Mambas during this period. Listening back I can definitely hear moments of PIL in the mix..
Before I played one note on this I had a theme in mind. Really this was inspired by one person,Yvette Vickers. This EP centers around b-movie actors and actresses, but really it's more about success and failure, and how we have these buckets of made it vs never did. These people that kept going and defining their own successes, or in some cases owning their failure.

This is lofi because I didn't have the recording equipment or skill to make anything higher quality than this. Success and failure are less important than the act of doing. Go make shit.
